Our Team

Director, Deborah Hammond, has over 20 years experience working with a broad range of clients to achieve their individual goals. Deborah is renowned for her work with WorkCover NSW, particularly in designing and delivering quality training such as the Return-to-work Coordination package and managing OH&S projects. She also maintains her clinical roots by providing occupational therapy services to the aged and community sector and medico-legal assessments and reports.

Kevin Hammond complements Deborah’s skills with expertise in technical issues such as electrical and chemical safety and safe work procedures.

On the frontline is our Administration Manager, Amanda Banfield, who has experience in superannuation, training and project management, as well as talents for writing, quality control and organising everyone.

  • Audit of internal injury management systems of AMP and GIO insurance companies during the merger of workers compensation divisions.
  • Development of safety procedures for Sydney Airport Corporation.
  • OH&S and injury management consulting and auditing for a wide cross section of industries including aged care, agricultural, community services, meat processing, printing, business services, airport management, cleaning, laundry, education, child care, timber processing, winery & hospitality.
  • Development and presentation of training packages for schools including Sport Safety Workshop, Excursion Planning and Event Planning.
  • Development & delivery of WorkCover’s Return-to-work Coordination and Advanced Return-to-work Coordination packages.
  • Development and delivery of Case Management training for Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association.
  • Design and project management of the $200,000 2002 ASSIST Grant for the aged and community care industry providing training to 1300 participants across NSW and the development of www.agedcareohs.info. Following the success of this grant, the aged and community care industry was again awarded a $200,000 ASSIST Grant for 2003-4. The focus of the grant was on developing risk management strategies for community care agencies, developing injury management skills in aged care managers and continuing the development of the website.
  • Development of NCOSS/WorkCover NSW “The Safety Pack” – a self-directed training package for managers and committee members in the community welfare sector.
  • Research, development and delivery of “Delegates can do it – Making workers comp work”. A training package for union organisers and delegates on injury management strategies, communication skills and conflict resolution for WorkCover NSW and Labor Council of NSW.
  • Design and delivery of "Putting it into perspective" for WorkCover NSW. This was a training program designed for insurance claims officers identifying claims management strategies, time management, communication skills and conflict resolution.
  • Design and delivery of "Rehabilitation Procedures for Insurers & Providers" for WorkCover NSW. This involved training all insurers and rehabilitation providers in NSW in case management procedures including understanding the roles of key players, conflict resolution and identifying effective communication strategies.
  • “Durability of Employment Study” for WorkCover involving nearly 400 telephone interviews of injured workers 12 months post rehabilitation closure.
  • “Cost Benefit Analysis of WorkCover Vocational Rehabilitation: Development of Methodology” prepared with Pepe Marlow. The aim of this project was to identify a methodology for cost-benefit research of WorkCover’s vocational rehabilitation strategies.
